During GM’s chapter 11 process and the death of many other GM performance cars, it was thought that GM would likely delay the next generation Corvette until 2014 (at the least) but we just got word that it will be arriving in 2012 as a 2013 model.
All GM has really said about the 2013 Vette is that it will be lighter than the C6 and may even use a smaller V8 than what Corvette fans are use to. It will also be retaining its front engine platform, so the mid engine rumors can go back to the mill they have been coming from since the 1980’s.
Expect moderate stying cues from the pictured 2009 Sting Ray concept.
As we find out more you will hear it here first.
