
The rumors are true, the Fiat 500 will be built in Mexico where the PT Cruiser and Dodge Journey are currently assembled. The engines will probably be built in Chrysler’s Trenton, Michigan plant as well.
Chrysler, under Fiat control decided to keep the PT cruiser in production at the Mexico plant, which many thought was just to keep the plant up and running until Fiat 500 production began.
Expect to see the small Fiat in about a year.
