
The 360-hp BMW 550i, 380-hp Lexus GS460 and the 382-hp Mercedes E550 all have one thing in common. They all have less power than next years new Infiniti M56.
“Luxury customers want more engine power,” said Larry Dominique, VP of product planning for Nissan North America Inc. “When they are paying $7,000 to $10,000 more for the V-8 version, they want more power.”
Infiniti hopes to improve upon their #7 market share spot in the V8 luxury segment with the new M that will debut in December.
The new 5.6L V8 replaces the outgoing 325 HP 4.5L V8 that is found in the current Infiniti M45.
