2012 Dodge Viper Logo?

2012 Dodge Viper Logo

At the recent VOI 11 Viper meet in Salt Lake City, Utah the next generation Viper was shown to club members in a “peek room” to which no cell phones or photo taking devices were allowed but a few random pics did make their way through the cracks (no car though).

Viper Club of America members that did see the car have stated that its a mixture of all generations (lots of Generation 2 GTS ), yet a step forward and absolutely drop dead gorgeous looking.  L.E.D fog lights and halo head lamps like an Audi R8 one member noted, a very deep candy apple red shade of red paint, side exhaust and L.E.D tail lights and carbon accents and a unique rear diffuser and an Aston Martin-like rear end look.  The body was noted as having  very dramatic lines and body work overall.

The car was apparently a painted clay model and the interior was still in the design stage but was promised to be leaps and bounds improved.  In coming months I am sure we will begin to see spy shots due to the cars supposed 2012 year debut.

2011 Mopar Challenger V10 Drag Pak

While the rumor mill tossed us the probability of a Viper V10 powered Challenger SRT10 the reality is that those rumors really meant that a V10 Challenger was coming but in Drag Pak format for NHRA Sportsman drag racers.

The car will debut at the Dodge Viper Owner’s Invitational in Salt Lake City and then make its way to the SEMA show in Las Vegas from Nov. 2-5, and the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show in Orlando from Dec. 9-11.  The new race-only V-10 powered rear-wheel drive 2011 Challenger Drag Pak comes with an 8.4-liter 512 cubic-inch engine with a 2-speed automatic transmission, competition wheels and tires, a Mopar solid rear axle with drag-spec gear ratio, a 2-speed drag race transmission with  roll control, a complete competition fuel system with fuel cell, and a complete interior with the all important gauges.
