Filed on December 15 of 2010, Chrysler Group LLC registered the Cuda name with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Not exactly breaking news because Ralph Gilles already said they were trying to bring Cuda back at the recent SEMA show when he was introducing the 2011 Dodge Charger Redline concept as well as the Durango black and tan.

The question is just what will it be?

Although details are very much non existent at this point, we have two leads.  Number one would be a Chrysler-brand offering using a tweaked Dodge Challenger as a basis with Cuda styling adjustments.  The other possible option would be the apparent Chrysler branded platform mate to the new, designed by Pininfarina – Alfa Romeo Spyder.  The Chrysler version is said to be offered in Coupe and Cabriolet formats but besides that, we know nothing else.
